Additional fees may apply for longer manuscripts, specialized formats (poetry, cookbooks, illustrated books), or text changes after layout begins. Does my manuscript have to be completely finished?
Yes, your manuscript must be finalized, edited, and proofread before we begin interior design work.
What if my manuscript is over 80,000 words?
Standard pricing for the Cover-to-Cover and Launch Pro packages includes up to 80,000 words. Manuscripts over 80,000 words incur an overage fee of $0.02 per word over 80,000.
Examples:
- 85,000 words: 5,000 words over = $100 additional
- 95,000 words: 15,000 words over = $300 additional
- 120,000 words: 40,000 words over = $800 additional
Why the overage fee?
- Longer books take significantly more time to format
- More pages = more proofing and quality checks
- File size and complexity increases
We’ll calculate your exact overage fee when you submit your project brief with your accurate word count. No surprises!
Can I make text changes after layout begins?
Minor typo corrections are not a problem. Larger text changes incur fees starting at $50. [See full policy]
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! For packages $2,000 or more, we offer flexible payment plans (50% deposit, 25% at midpoint, 25% at delivery).
How long do I have to provide feedback?
You have 7 days to review and provide feedback on each round of revisions. We’re flexible if you need a few extra days!
(Note: All plans come with 3 rounds of revisions, but for Cover-to-Cover and Launch Pro, you’ll have an additional 3 rounds of revisions for interior design, since you’ll be reviewing both the cover AND the interior.)
